Adult Day Training/Supported Employment

The Special Hearts Farm provides adult day training, supported employment, and possible entrepreneur business opportunities relating to farming and gardening experiences. Participants are trained to perform jobs including livestock care, woodworking, gardening, and making goat milk soap. Products that are created, marketed, and sold (goat milk soap and rustic signs), provide an opportunity to promote community health and awareness. Contact us to receive more information regarding funding and daily rates.

Orlando Health Partnership

Special Hearts Farm is proud to partner with Orlando Health to empower individuals with disabilities by teaching them essential life skills through engaging, hands-on experiences. Each quarter, the Orlando Health Center for Health Improvement team, supported by volunteers, visits the farm to host interactive cooking classes. Using fresh ingredients grown in the farm's garden, students learn how to prepare healthy meals while gaining practical knowledge they can use at home to promote independence. During each session, participants help prepare the day's recipe, enjoy the meal together, and take home the recipe to recreate on their own. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to improving health, fostering independence, and enhancing the quality of life for all members of our community.

OCPS Transition Site

The Special Hearts Farm provides a transition site opportunity for students from Orange County Public Schools who qualify based on the OCPS Post-Secondary Transition Rubric. Participants are trained to perform jobs including livestock care, woodworking, gardening, and making goat milk soap. When they age out of school, students have the opportunity to continue in the Adult Day Training/Supported Employment Program.
